Los Angeles, CA – Tonight is the night that Cyndi Lauper will be rocking out at the Greek Theatre! Lauper has just released her new album titled “Detour” and is currently in the midst of her US tour, Detour.
She first rose to fame with her debut album, She’s So Unusual in 1983 which featured platinum selling songs such as “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “Time After Time.” Lauper has certainly become a music icon through her nine albums that have come after her 1983 hit year. In addition to writing music as a pop artist, she also composed the score for the Broadway musical, Kinky Boots which earned her both a Grammy Award for best musical theater album and a Tony Award for best musical score.
Lauper is nowhere near the end of her career. In fact she is doing more than she has ever done before. Not only is she on tour promoting her album, she’s also staying in the limelight as a prominent LGBT activist,
