Artisanal LA Holiday Market 2015

Pasadena, CA – Pasadena has always had a special place in LA’s heart because it is the one city that doesn’t feel like the typical Los Angeles scene. With mountains like a picturesque backdrop, rocket science mecca: JPL, and prestigious institutions such as Cal Tech and Fuller College, Pasadena is a multifaceted city. Just to prove the city’s diversity, Pasadena was host to the Artisanal LA Market.

This past Saturday December 5th Artisanal LA came back to East Holly Street for a second year to feature their holiday themed market.  This year, the fair showcased a curated, doubled amount of vendors (150+) to participate in a family friendly European inspired shopping experience. In addition to a few highlighted local boutiques such as coffee shop Copa Vida and furniture store West Elm, vendors came from all over Los Angeles to be part of a growing, diverse city as Pasadena. ‘Dena (per locals) residents were in for a real treat to interact with shoppers who drove from Silverlake and Santa Monica.

The holiday market had dozens of treats to taste from chimichurri sauces, brownies, savory almonds, organic coffees, soppressata, to spiced jams; in other words, heaven on Earth for the LA foodie. In addition to food, tons of crafters displayed their handmade clothing, jeweled necklaces, and custom printed tote bags. For the ladies who needed a quick nail revamp, a manicure booth was stationed and available. For families who needed a photo with Santa, that was also available—which brought happiness and cheer to the fair.

With the holidays coming too soon, this was a perfect atmosphere to purchase gifts as well as network, and support the creative artists of Los Angeles.
